“毕业是一个伤感的告别时刻，但这并不是一切的结束。这是一个全新的开始。”6月24日，国际部毕业典礼在黄华楼礼堂隆重举行。今年，我校国际部50多名毕业生共接到了来自美国、加拿大、澳大利亚、香港等多个国家和地区的100余份大学录取通知书，绝大多数同学被全球排名前200的大学录取。

典礼伊始，毕业生们头戴四方帽、身着黑长袍，在亲友团的见证下鱼贯入场。收到录取通知时的激动已褪去，入场的毕业生们彼此会心微笑，多了一份淡定与从容，观众席上的亲友们不时喝彩拍照，整个入场仪式既庄重又激动人心。

我校副校长郁婷婷、国际部毕业生代表、中加中美项目校长、美国休斯敦明湖中学校长先后登台致辞，送上对毕业生诚挚美好的祝福。“今天，我们在这里不是庆祝结束，而是欢迎开始；我们不是为了纪念完成，而是要宣布前进。”郁婷婷在致辞中表达了自己的期许，“相信有一天，你们会成长为有智慧和热情、有志气和脚踏实地的态度、有良好品德和创新能力、信奉责任与承诺的人。”

毕业生的亲友们从各地赶来，共同分享了这一令人激动的时刻。在校长致辞后，全体毕业生站立，转身向观众席上的亲友们拥抱致谢。相机的咔嚓声不断，台下台下情感交融，声气相连。

今年是国际部中美班首届毕业生毕业，毕业生们除了获得美国高中文凭外，所有学生都收到了来自美国大学的录取，其中有波士顿大学、凯斯西储大学、德克萨斯大学等等。其中，夏俊杰、李泽钧同学更是保持了GPA成绩3.9的“学霸”纪录，获得Eagle Award。

中加班毕业生的重磅奖项加拿大伊丽莎白女王奖章则被吴雨纯同学揽下。该奖只颁发给加拿大基础教育系统的12年级学生，获奖者必须具备学习成绩优异、良好的学校和社区参与记录等条件，且每所学校只能有一枚奖章获得者。

“今天是离别的日子，我们应该为自己的成就感到庆幸，但同时也要努力让自己成为一个可以激励别人的人。”正如毕业生代表覃鲲鹏在发言中所说的，相信国际部毕业生们的未来将会开始一段新的旅程，真正走向世界。

Honorable teachers, principles, dear parents and students,

Today is a day of excitement and pride, and it is a day for you and for us to remember. Three years ago, with confidence and glory, you came to this program of the International Department English School. Today, you will start a new journey abroad full of achievements and dreams. On behalf of all the teachers in this school, I would like to give you heartfelt congratulations on your graduation, and to wish you all the best for your future.

Looking back to the days we have been through together, they are filled with your hard work, determination, perseverance and patience. We came all the way here with pains and gains. We feel lucky to have witnessed your growth.

In these three years, I believe you have achieved a lot: you have learned to work hard in your studies, to be forgiving and grateful to people around you, to have good manners dealing with people and things. All these virtues will benefit you a lot now and in your future life.

It’s hard to say goodbye…

Dear students, graduation is an everlasting song, a sentimental goodbye, a distant departure, a hand-in-hand heart-to-heart moment. But it is not the end of everything. It is a brand new start. Today, we are here not to celebrate the “end”, but to welcome the start; we are not to commemorate the “finished”, but to proclaim the “moving forward”. As the poem goes, “One day, I will be in the waves in full speed, to show my own aspirations; hanging my sailcloth up, going across the sea, I will achieve my dreams.”  With time goes by and with the expectations from us, I fully believe that you will grow into people who have wisdom and passion, who have high aspirations and down-to-earth attitudes, who have good virtues and innovation, and who have responsibilities and commitments. You are always the pride of our school. You will walk towards the light of the glory of tomorrow, with the best wishes from the bottom of our hearts!
